Our Educators

Passionate & Dedicated

At Children First, we are committed to raising the benchmark in Early Childhood Education. We are driven by a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about their work and devoted to providing exceptional care and education to children.

Dedicated and compassionate, our Educators form the heart and soul of our childcare centres. They are committed to nurturing each child on their unique learning journey, ensuring that their time under our care is an enriching experience filled with exploration, learning, and enjoyment.

We understand that entrusting your precious child to our care for the first time can be an apprehensive moment. Our Educators go above and beyond to make every child feel welcomed as they transition to their new learning environment. They foster a genuine sense of belonging and cater to the individual needs of each child, providing you with the reassurance that your little one is safe and happy in our care.

To further strengthen this sense of belonging, our Educators actively engage children and their families in shaping and implementing our curriculum. We promote open and transparent communication, viewing parents as a child's first teachers. Your insights and feedback regarding your child and our educational programs are highly valued.

Talk to the Educators about any additional needs, routines, or requirements your little one may have. Good Educators are highly trained to communicate with families to ensure every individual child receives the best care possible, and they will want to know everything about your little one to ensure their time in care is a nurturing and rewarding experience.

Qualified & Highly Trained

Our Educators possess formal qualifications that enable them to deliver high quality early education programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework. Through these programs, they aim to facilitate a smooth transition to early years schooling and instil a lifelong love for learning in your child. Their unwavering commitment is to help every child realise their full potential, fostering a sense of accomplishment and success.

We prioritise the continuous growth and development of our Educators through ongoing training and professional development initiatives. This ensures that they remain well-informed in the latest developments and research in the field of early childhood education. We hold regular ‘Lunch & Learn’ sessions for our Educators as one of these professional development initiatives. This learning format allows Educators to undertake professional development in a half hour session, on topics such as Addressing Challenging Behaviours; Adult/Child Relationship Development and Management; and Safety to name a few.

In addition to formal qualifications in Early Childhood, our Educators also hold current CPR, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates and adhere to the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, upholding the highest standards of care. To ensure we provide the safest possible environment for your child, our Educators remain certified through an annual training program that is paid for by the company. Annual Child Protection training is also completed to support creating child-safe environments.

At Children First, we are dedicated to training and developing the next generation of Educators through partnering with local Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to offer traineeships in our centres. These partnerships with local RTOs in each state, also extends to supporting our qualified Educators to advance their formal qualifications. For example, advancing from a Cert III to a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Engaging & Interacting

In our centres, you'll discover our Educators fully immersed in their roles, actively engaging with the children. They play alongside them, providing an environment where play and exploration can naturally unfold. Our Educators are adept at capturing those crucial teachable moments, using them to engage children more deeply in the process of learning.

At Children First, our approach is The Abecedarian Approach, which places a priority on high quality adult to child interactions and children’s language acquisition. This means that our Educators spend more time engaging and interacting with the children, and through this high-quality adult to child interaction, our Educators are enabled to meet the child’s needs because they are observing and interacting with the child more closely.
